I painted this piece based on my wife's struggles with her past. The wall is representative of the walls we build in our minds that prevent us from living free. The Break in the wall is her chance to escape but the ghosts of the past seek to drag her back into the gloom of the forest.

I produces this illustration fairly quickly considering the size of the file. I made it at over 3 feet tall with the intent of framing a print for our office.
