It was the middle of winter when it felt like the snow would never end. As much as I wanted it to end I was struck by the beauty of the colorless world around me so I had to paint it.

I wanted the figure to be pale like the surroundings and her gown to blend into the carpet of snow at her feet. I spent quite some time on the dress, I guess I like designing the costumes as much as anything else. Though her neck still bothers me. Perhaps someday I will fix it but for now it stands as it is.
